Exterior measures intended to reduce water entry through below-grade walls, foundations, or other exposed building surfaces.

Exterior water problems are best approached by identifying where the water comes from, how it moves across the property, where it collects, and what happens during heavy rain. Ask the provider how the proposed work addresses the water path and whether grading, drains, downspouts, sump equipment, or waterproofing need to be coordinated. Before contacting a provider, note where water enters, when it occurs, affected wall or foundation areas, and any drainage or waterproofing work already completed.
