Shoreline restoration

Repair or reconstruction of eroded or damaged shoreline areas using methods appropriate to the site and waterfront conditions.

Shoreline work should be planned around the pattern and pace of erosion, tidal or wave exposure, nearby structures, drainage, and access to the affected edge. Ask what stabilization approach the provider is proposing and whether surveys, engineering, permitting, bulkhead work, or other waterfront construction are separate. Before contacting a provider, note the damaged area, recent storms or tidal events, visible land loss, existing stabilization, access, and any plans or permits.
